The BCS is a Good Thing

In College Football there is an important event called The Bowl Championship Series (BCS). It is a five-game showcase of college football. The main objective of the BCS is to ensure an incredible game between the 2 top-rated teams in the country. This is celebrated in the National Championship game. The BCS includes another eight exciting matchups between highly regarded teams.

For the BCS scoring process, a set of polls and computer selection methods is used to choose relative team rankings, and to reduce the field to two teams that will have the opportunity to play in the BCS National Championship Game. An interesting fact is that the winner of this game is named the "BCS National Champion" and not the NCAA Champion. This event will be held after the other college bowl games.

The BCS championship is an important celebration for a lot of people, including teachers, students, athletes, coaching staff, and fans. There are a lot of high school students-athletes who have dedicated their collegiate careers to playing the sport, and the BCS bowl games represent a great opportunity for realizing their goals.

For the 2011 BCS, there will be a hodgepodge of contenders and pretenders. Some teams are at the top, and have a lot of fans; others are just emerging from the woodwork.

The Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida Gators, and Texas Longhorns are some of the top teams that will try to do their best to be the BCS champ. Other teams like the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Boise State Broncos and Oregon Ducks, are some of the teams trying to win their participate on it.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

With the help of Coach Bo Pelini, the team is trying to improve their defense. The Huskers are working hard for an opportunity to arise. Pierre Allen and Jared Crick are two of the defensive men that will be part of the team.

Boise State Broncos

This team is well known as a "little guy". The latest seasons for this team have been nice; they are flat on the road to the BSC, if they keep this going.

Oregon Ducks

This is a good team, full of big-name players like QB Jeremiah Masoli and RB LaMichael James; an incredible combination. Also in the team will be DE Kenny Rowe, who is a dynamo.

Many other teams are fighting right now, and still have a lot of work to do if they expect to participate in this event. As you can see, BCS is a good thing for many people; the odds change every moment for each team, it's time to choose your favorite team and bet!
